โก๏ธ PHIL IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
A volunteer writes: Phil must've done the best he could during the snowstorm, but for two days afterward he found himself under a car where he cried alone for two whole days. Believed to be left behind when his guardian moved away, someone heard Phil's cries and thankfully took action. I don't know if the shelter is what Phil had in mind. In fact, I can pretty confidently say it wasn't but we also know that perspective can be elusive when you've gone through so much. Phil was calm when approached by the Good Samaritan who helped but shelter life has proven to be a challenge for this gentle hearted guy. Sitting snuggled in his cubby, Phil's reluctant to put himself out there in the same way that brought him here and hasn't been very interested in pets though he does tolerate them. Phil is FIV+ and really hopeful that someone will see that he has a lot to offer, he just needs someone to help him get started. โค๏ธ ๐ปโค๏ธ ๐ปโค๏ธ ๐ป
