The risks of #ChatGPT & #OpenAI
I NEVER use AI nor ChatGPT nor OpenAI (unless there are intrinsic embedded AI technology within search engines etc without my realisation) . Just this week , I've come to know a Legal Case against Open AI or ChatGPT by the parents of 16 year old son reported via #Newshour ( 1st Row Left facing the below photos ) presented by @BBCTimFranks on @bbcworldservice ( broadcast date 27th of August 2025 , with the contents still audible and the topic about this legal case starts at 26 min 46 sec out of 47 min 37 sec ) Mr. Tim Franks with a professional of #TechAIJusticeProject reveal the causes of this 16 year old boy who took his own life as a result of his deep engagements with the #ChatGPT.
Also on the #ScienceWeekly Podcast by @guardian , I've come to realise that the psychiatric risk due to the usage of Open AI , Chat Bot or Chat GPT amongst those adults without any prior diagnosis of psychosis , to diagnose it due to the usage or addictive usage of Chat AI . It is explained by the medical doctor of @KingsCollegeLon , to my sense of responsibilities for posting these prospective risks that I came to know thanks to the @bbcworldservice , and clinical psychiatric doctors and teams of researchers of Kings College London UK and the #Guardians
.The fact of the legal case was already my knowledge as it was broadcast in the same programme of #BBCNewshour that I tweeted about Dinosaur.
The reasons that I did not mention about this legal case - a kind of case our legal history has never seen before - is my conservative mentality not to overflow the kind of topic which might have damaging effect...
Yet , a couple of days later I came to know that Chat GPT negatively affecting young generations or teenagers , but according to the King's College Psychiatric Doctor, there are indeed the cases of development of psychosis due to the Chat AI amongst the adults as well (!!)
After my listening to those programmes and podcasts AND by doing a quick net search , I feel responsible with my sense of duty to post this risk , added with many other kind of prospective damages of AI Chatbot , even though I never use it .
I feel that there are many adults as well as younger generations to worship the AI tech without even noticing the risks and prospective damages in my personal observations of other users on #X Platform as well . As myself who always prefer books or magazines made with paper rather than those in digital forms and I feel a bit eery of any digital technology , especially those AI , thanks to my life which had huge numbers of years without the digital tech availabilities .
But with this multitude AND with large numbers of populations who engage with digital games ( I hate digital games and prefer any devices WITHOUT GAME FUNCTION ) ,thus I may not be prone to my malfunctioning , yet recent cases of Chat Bot damage cases added WITH MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT FEELING EERY MAKES ME FEEL MORE EERY ! to the extent that I thought it as my duty to post this content .
