The St. Louis River is the largest tributary of @LakeSuperior and runs along the MN-WI border. Multiple contaminated sediment “red” sites remain that need cleanup. Recently cleaned-up Slips 3 & C (as well as MN Slip) are in the harbor - top right on map. #SedimentSam #GLRI

Minnesota Slip is arguably the most well-known slip in the harbor located near downtown Duluth. The William A. Irvin has been docked there for decades as a museum, but its first life was as the hip & cool flagship of the @U_S_Steel #GreatLakes fleet from 1938-1978. #SedimentSam
