ctd.. & took out a portion of a roof support for the big skylight to be fitted next week. Sound deadening was applied to the remaining side & roof panels. It was oddly satisfying removing the protective film on the Maxxfan!

4 hrs of scraping, rubbing & wiping, its back to yesterday's step. The hole will be opened up a small bit, exposed metal painted & an attempt made to refit the fan PROPERLY🤞

The cable that has been hanging down from the roof since Day 5 is a reversing camera.Wiring is on hold til we see where the roof vents & lights are going. You can also see the bare panels left where we will be cutting holes in the roof

Day 6 Part 4: It looks like it's turning into a spaceship now, but the work done at the start (which won't be seen) will have us cosy and insulated against cold and noise.

Day 6 Pt 3: Going overboard on the sound deadening of the rear arches. Worth it- the reduction in noise was apparent on a drive.Fine-tuning with a sander on Day 7 should have it done as the sander was @ home & not @ the workshop🥴

Day 5: Holes were to be cut in the roof but some of the stuff couldn't be gotten locally. It had to wait. The floor was started with 25×50mm battens & 25mm Xtratherm insulation board. It took 6+hrs & not even glued!

Day 4 part 1: Deconstruction nearing completion with headliner & overhead shelf now removed. Buried in one of the cracks was this Drifter. Best before April 2018 🤢

Day 3: After 7 hours work all remaining adhesive removed from the floor, factory side panel trims gone, walls wiped down & floor scrubbed.
Day 4 will be Hammerite time for all the holes left from previous flooring
