At around 10:30a.m, in Lamka Public ground, Kuki-Zo tribals from across the district came together in large numbers for the peace rally organized by the All Tribal Student Union Manipur(ATSUM) against the Meiteis demand for Scheduled Tribe Status. The rally ended at around 1-1:30p.m and the crowd had dispersed and returned to their respective homes and localities. 2. At around 2:00 p.m, Meitei miscreants burned the pillar of the Anglo-Kuki War Centenary Gate in Leisang Vaiphei village destroying some stone inscriptions which were prevented by few locals.
