One of my sibling’s V8 petrol cars, worth around ₹5 crore, suddenly refused to start. It was sent to the workshop, where they spent an entire month diagnosing the issue before concluding that the fuel pump had failed. A replacement was ordered from Germany, only for the manufacturer’s headquarters to say that the fuel pump “couldn’t have failed” and demand another investigation. That investigation has already taken another 15 days, and now they’re saying it’ll take another month for the part to reach Chandigarh, followed by another 20 days for installation and delivery. Almost three months wasted because of Gadkari’s shitty fuel policy. Three months of headaches, harassment, and inconvenience after paying nearly ₹40 lakh in road tax.
