You can develop a great idea or way of working, but 'rolling it out' across an organisation often doesnt work. We miss the point that the 'idea' is only one part of it- local context & relationships matter more. If ideas feel imposed, they are never going to connect with people.
Experimentation ("trying stuff & seeing what happens") is such a key part of change. In most social change situations, we can't be sure about cause & effect until we give things a go. Every context is unique so we need to try out even other people's "good practice" to make it work for us.
