@talexander2001 OK with me, and understandable when it comes from secular media. It’s the Evangelical muckrakers that mystify me. After #ShepCon2020, they seemed to be *hoping* for a major outbreak they could blame on us. They’ll do it again now, I expect.

@AlsoACarpenter @lancemann It’s also worth noting that @GraceComChurch had someone get sick and die of #COVID right after #shepcon2020. I’m very surprised that the impact of that hasn’t shaped their perspective on CA regulations and guidelines. One would think they take that MORE seriously as a result.

Here is John MacArthur's excellent conclusion during session #1, on the clarity of scripture, at #ShepCon2020, wherein he exhorts preachers to connect the listeners with the scriptures, not themselves. "Faith & obedience must *not* rest on the preacher,…[but] on the scripture."

Jesus literally told us *exactly* how we are to treat the broken. “Which of these three was a neighbor?” “The one who had MERCY.” “Go and do likewise.” There is no excuse for the words that regularly come out of this man’s mouth. #ShepCon2020

Yes. People have actually been victimized. They've been hurt. Joy is hard to come by. They aren't just making it up to bother you. What are you doing to help them find joy, besides shaming them for their pain & the damage done? If this is the best you can do, seriously, go home.
