Here, one of the many reasons that fluid resuscitation is done best by mouth, if you can swallow & your gut is working!

She was not aware of “Sick day rules”. She had a few episodes of vomiting and she did not eat food. Hence, she did not take insulin. She said that she has been told not to take insulin if you are not eating food. Actually, the opposite of this needs to be done!
