This is also the first time I’ve seen #SilverSwitcharoo used in nearly 3 years. Even *I* haven’t used it since then and I coined the phrase.
Healthcare Twitter #FunFact: As far as I can tell, I was the first to use the phrase (or hashtag) "Silver Loading" #SilverLoading online in the context of ACA premiums, on 7/31/17.

HOWEVER, what about those who AREN'T subsidized? If you don't receive any APTC at all, you just saw YOUR premiums jump by 25% for that Silver plan.
That's where the #SilverSwitcharoo comes in, which is a more complicated version of #SilverLoading. I won't go into that here. 42/

The main downside to #SilverLoading is that enrollees >400% FPL have to jump through some confusing hoops to avoid the CSR hit (#SilverSwitcharoo). It still does more good than bad, though.
ARRRGH! #SilverLoading and #SilverSwitcharoo are an imperfect solution to #CSR cut-off, but they definitely help more people than they hurt. I'm surprised Emanuel, Zhang & Glickman would just throw "reinstate CSRs" out there w/out any caveats/clarifications like th is.
