In 2013 a virus led to #MECFS & in 2016 a minor accident led to #malpractice which led to #ChronicPain in my nerve & thus my #SittingDisability.
So I've been bedbound & in #lockdown for 7 years & 9 months.

It's the 7th #Christmas where I can't be there. I can't even sit at a table to eat! Without being able to sit you can't participate in anything in life. Nobody gets the severity of this. Even most doctors. #SittingDisability

@Imani_Barbarin @merlinslaugh I live in my late gran's place which was adapted - I would just need a ramp.
(Saying that, ramps can be difficult for ambulatory disabled to navigate. I already have a #sittingdisability so can't use a wheelchair - last hip op, they stretchered me from the ward to my front door.)
@Kris10Callihan Well said. Even before my #sittingdisability worsened, I found sitting for over an hour in one of those seats excruciating, & the ability to recline helped a flight become bearable.
Flying is impossible for me now, & part of that is down to not wanting to deal with animosity.

@BestFriendKelly @JenReadsRomance @stegan I can't sit at a desk (#sittingdisability) so I made this to use while lying in bed. It's based on an Instructables build & cost me the price of a few screws & couple of knobs.
I'll often fall asleep with my hands on the keyboard...& wake up with my hands still on the keyboard.

As someone who can't drive anymore (due to a #sittingdisability), it's incredible how many people can't believe it's possible to survive without one.
Assuming everyone can drive, access, or use a car is discriminatory on so many levels - it's far more discriminatory than cycling.
