European exploitation favourite Edmund Purdom directs and stars in this infamous nasty which has little seasonal cheer but plenty of blood to go round. It's Christmas time in the East End but someone with a grudge against St Nicholas is killing off anyone dressed as Santa Claus. Can Chief Inspector Harris (Purdom) of Scotland Yard save the day and stop the ever-increasing body count? Violent with a real mean streak running through it, this is a prime example of British exploitation moviemaking which captures the era perfectly as its filled with peep shows, tinsel and Caroline Monroe belting out a cracker of a tune. An Xmas classic with all the seediest trimmings you could want.

Inspired by the infamous Texarkana Moonlight Murders which took place in Texarkana in 1946, this controversial version of events is a grindhouse classic and a superior, sinister slasher. A sack-hooded killer is stalking the land and is leaving a trail of bodies behind him, causing the locals to live in fear when the sun sets. Often compared to the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre, thanks to its rural location, director Charles B Pierce shot the movie around the Texarkana area using locals as extras to give it a feeling of uneasy and raw authenticity. Perfectly plotted with a continuing sense of alarm this takes horror to an extreme and breathless level. Remember, don’t venture into the fields after dark!

Now, after the unexpected escape of a prisoner from the state mental hospital, who may or may not be the killer, it's up to hard-nosed gumshoe Dick Harbinger to solve the case before the Lawnmower Killer seeks out a new slew of victims at the upcoming Pumpkin Prom, that is if anyone is able to survive the hilarious horror hijinks leading up to it!
Thanks to pieces such as Student Bodies and Saturday the 14th comedy-horror was big business in the early 80s and Wacko from 1982 was one of the better ones. Exploitation director Greydon Clark delivers a mad mix of spoof and shocks whilst his A-list cast, which includes George Kennedy (Charade), Joe don Baker (Goldeneye, Fletch), Charles Napier (The Blues Brothers, Supervixens) and Stella Stevens (The Poseidon Adventure) play the movie as straight as they can. Newly restored in 4k from its long lost camera negative!

Christie (Mary Beth McDonough) is convinced her father’s death wasn’t an accident and tries to unlock the truth. Her trail of clues leads to the local mortuary where she uncovers ghastly horrors beyond her imagination. Probably best known for starring Bill Paxton as an embalmer (the movie is also known as Embalmed) who is a bit of a social misfit with an unhealthy, lifelong crush on Christie. Mortuary contains plenty of juicy set-pieces and bloodletting for fans of the genre to enjoy.
