Yesterday, marked the end of the #SmartSTEMAcademy with a mini STEM fair where the students exhibited some of the skills they acquired during the four weeks program and competed for the Miss SSA title, an intellectual competition with three rubrics of project, brain box and talk.
This year of #SmartSTEMAcademy organized by @ASOWOS1 just came to an end and I feel like I lost a finger π

At the #SmartSTEMAcademy yesterday, our students learned about saponification and did a practical exercise by producing liquid soap.
Earlier this week, after an environmental engineering class on waste management and recycling, our students at the #SmartSTEMAcademy had a practical lesson where they recycled old clothes into beautiful flower pots!

It is not too late to enroll your kids for the #SmartSTEMAcademy . Itβs a unique opportunity for volunteers and students alike. Volunteers get to connect, meet mentors and students get to partake in STEM workshops to familiarize themselves with the skill sets at a young age.

Yesterday at the #SmartSTEMAcademy, some of the kids were introduced to exploration geology. They had to dig and break to find the remains of a dinosaur and then join the parts found to build the dinosaurs skeleton.
It was a very captivating exercise!
