🚫 Problem:
A JS feature Proposal named ".flatten()" broke some websites that ran MooTools and its non-standard implementation of flatten. Some proposed ".smoosh()" instead.
✅ Solution:
It got later renamed to ".flat()" and (nearly) everybody was happy.

Never forget #SmooshGate from 2018 when people thought the JS proposal author was serious when they suggested we name a new array method "smoosh" instead of "flatten", because it was true that flatten couldn't be used.

@essenmitsosse @ljharb It also creates more friction btwn implementors (platform folks) & developers. Incidents like #SmooshGate are a good example of this - we value DX over UX, & accessibility - consequently forgetting that we are here to serve our users first, & our needs are a far second or third.

@jamonholmgren @mjackson Ha even deeper cut. They didn't want to add a `.flatten` method and instead wanted to call it smoosh because of Mootools extended prototype and the default wasn't compatible so anything using mootools flatten would possibly break. Therefore SMOOSHED
