But having meaningfully defeated MY BEAST, provides a perspective and a focus many do not have.
People think you have to expunge your inner beast, endlessly vilifying, and fighting it.
That is the completely wrong approach.
Understand it.
The nature, the horror, it’s reality.
FACE IT.
ACCEPT IT.
But do not EMBRACE IT.
And facing my beast, I learned things about myself. I would never tell another human being. There is a devil on my shoulder, constantly whispering.
Once I came to understand it, I know it is always there, but I tune it out in favor of the angel on my other shoulder
I turned my face towards it.
I have never regretted that decision.
When confronted by wickedness and other people who are lost and mired in darkness I can have a sense of pity in this shared experience.
But thought is not action.
It is action that separates those struggling from the wicked.
Action crosses the line and the boundary.
We all have an inner beast that we must tame, but to those that surrender to it or even Revel in unleashing their beast, you cannot have pity, pray for their souls after they are put down either into prison or the grave.

Buried in this bill Gavin signed is a big "fuck you" to the Palisades. We are suing LADWP for draining our reservoir (which was built for fire protection), and leaving us with dry hydrants. This bill now says LADWP doesn't have to provide water for firefighting AT ALL. And when their negligence leaves us with no water to fight fire, Gavin is prohibiting any accountability for the water utility for leaving people to die, precluding fire victims from recovering losses from a catastrophic wildfire.
At EVERY turn, this scumbag finds ways to block fire victims from being made whole by incompetent, negligent, and corrupt bureaucrats and big utility providers when they routinely destroy entire towns.
