Howard Duff, known to posterity as the definitive radio Sam Spade, stars as a pioneering space engineer embroiled in murder and espionage in this early '50s Hammer Space Noir. Co-starring Hungarian screen siren Eva Bartok and a very on-form Alan Wheatley as a bullish intelligence operative, Spaceways has been painstakingly restored by Hammer in 4K from the original film negatives.
Stephen Mitchell, chief engineer on the world’s first space station, has the bad luck to be married to a gold-digging shrew. When an unmanned rocket fails re-entry at the same time as his wife and a fellow scientist go missing, Stephen is accused of killing them both and hiding their bodies in the orbiting spacecraft.

NEW: Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez, Gail King & the rest of an all-female crew "express gratitude" to a Blue Origin rocket ahead of their launch.
Perry, Sanchez, King, Amanda Nguyen, Aisha Bowe, & Kerianne Flynn will be in space for 11 minutes.
Perry says they're putting the "a$$" in astronaut.
"Space is going to finally be glam. If I could take glam up with me, I would do that. We are going to put the 'a$$' in astronaut," she said during an interview.
The launch is set to start at 9;30 am on Monday in West Texas.

#Spaceways made use of footage from another Lippert film, released by #ExlusiveFilms in the summer of 1950 - #ROCKETSHIPXM. Subtitled as 'Expedition Moon', this features Lloyd Bridges in a botched attempt to land on the moon - overshooting on a dangerous course for Mars.
In 1953 #ExclusiveFilms and Robert L Lippert sent Hammer into space via #SPACEWAYS - a frankly ropey space thriller (that also harbours some post-war fear of the outsider in the form of German spies).
Via #ExclusiveFilms though, viewers would get to the moon itself...
