Please put “SMNRA Fuelwood Permit 2024” in the subject line. Emails will be responded to in the order they were received during normal business hours.

Appointments to purchase firewood permits will be available Monday, Oct. 7 thru Friday, Oct.11. A firewood permit for one cord of wood cost $40 and can be purchased with cash or a credit card. A cord is the amount of wood in a stack measuring four feet wide by four feet high by eight feet in length.
Firewood permits are for personal use only and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Forest officials stress that it is extremely important for woodcutters to carefully read the comprehensive list of rules, regulations, and instructions they will receive with their permits.
