Radar update as of 1:25 pm EDT 5/9/26 shows our cold front beginning to move through. Behind the cold front, wind gusts are increasing while the temperatures are decreasing. Circled in the red area is where thunderstorms have begun to blossom ahead of the front. These storms will continue to grow upscale, eventually producing strong to severe wind and hail reports. Damaging winds of 60 mph and 1" diameter hail remain possible within any severe storm today, and we will go live to track when any warnings pop-up. More storms will fill in along the front to the north and south as the afternoon progresses.
