En las #SpringMeetings del @BancoMundial, avanzamos en el escalamiento de #IdLAC: identidad digital transfronteriza para que estudiar, viajar, acceder a la salud o comerciar entre países sea más simple y seguro.
✅12 países se comprometieron a trabajar en la evolución del software IdLAC.
✅Este mecanismo de reconocimiento mutuo de identidades digitales ya permite acceder a 300 servicios digitales.
✅Se espera que en 2027 haya al menos 5 trámites transfronterizos asociados a este proceso.
✅El foco está en casos de uso reales: salud, educación, comercio, migración.

On the sidelines of @WorldBankGroup #SpringMeetings, @Ashish_Khanna, Director General, International Solar Alliance (ISA), met with
Ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, President of #COP30 Presidency, to strengthen collaboration on the Action Agenda - focusing on implementation, exponential impact, and delivery on the ground.
The exchange underscored ISA’s accelerating implementation momentum, with #AIforEnergy and #SIDS advancing as flagship platforms, while anchoring a wider portfolio of initiatives that will collectively drive impact and shape ISA’s engagement in the lead-up to #COP31.
The #GlobalMissionOnAIForEnergy, ISA’s structured architecture to embed AI across the power sector, and the #SIDSPlatform, focused on accelerating solar deployment in the most climate-vulnerable economies, form the core implementation backbone ISA brings to the next UNFCCC COP.
ISA looks forward to deepening this partnership with the COP30 Presidency toward COP31, converting ambition into measurable outcomes for ISA Member and Signatory Countries, and the wider Global South.

On the sidelines of the #SpringMeetings, I met with Mr. William Asiko, Senior Vice President of the Africa Regional Office @RockefellerFdn, to advance a shared vision for scaling Africa’s transformation through structured, investment-driven partnerships.
Our discussions focused on moving from strong strategic alignment to joint delivery—anchoring collaboration in project preparation, scaling bankable pipelines, and leveraging platforms such as the AUDA-NEPAD’s Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC) to drive coordinated implementation.
We also explored deepening collaboration on development finance, including strengthening Africa’s capacity to access climate finance and mobilising philanthropic capital to de-risk priority projects and accelerate execution at scale.
Africa’s transformation will be driven by partnerships that deliver—translating alignment into action, capital into projects, and ambition into measurable impact under #Agenda2063. With the Rockefeller Foundation, we are moving with purpose to scale impact, unlock investment, and accelerate delivery across the continent.
On the sidelines of the #SpringMeetings, I met with @BeleteNathan, Regional Programs Director for Africa at the World Bank, to advance our strategic partnership to strengthen AUDA-NEPAD as a continental delivery platform.
Our exchange underscored the importance of moving beyond fragmented, project-based approaches toward coordinated, system-level investments—aligning financing, knowledge, and institutional strengthening to accelerate implementation across Member States.
We also reflected on opportunities to scale delivery through expanded country presence, digital transformation, and enhanced institutional capacity—positioning AUDA-NEPAD as an impact multiplier under #Agenda2063.
AUDA-NEPAD stands ready to deepen collaboration with the World Bank to drive coordinated, resilient, and investment-driven development across Africa.

On the sidelines of the #SpringMeetings, I participated in the High-Level Dialogue on the Africa–Europe Finance Leaders’ Platform, where I underscored a central message: Africa is already repositioning itself as a strategic investment partner—moving beyond aid toward investment-driven partnerships.
I emphasized the importance of demand-driven, African-led project pipelines, strengthened local value addition, and an Africa–EU partnership that supports industrialisation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth under #Agenda2063.
AUDA-NEPAD remains committed to advancing a practical, results-oriented partnership with Europe—focused on co-investment, policy alignment, and delivering tangible outcomes at scale.
