Selling Risk people overlook with #stXRP
Here’s how it works:
You deposit XRP and mint FXRP.
You stake FXRP and receive stXRP.
stXRP is your receipt proving ownership of the staked FXRP.
✅ If you sell your stXRP, you no longer have that receipt.
Later, if you want your original FXRP back (and eventually redeem XRP), you’ll need to buy back the same amount of stXRP.
Example:
Deposit 10,000 XRP ➡️ Receive 10,000 FXRP.
Stake 10,000 FXRP ➡️ Receive 10,000 stXRP.
Sell the 10,000 stXRP for 10,500 FXRP.
Looks great, you now have 10,500 FXRP.
But months later, suppose staking rewards have accrued and demand has increased, so 1 stXRP is now worth 1.08 FXRP.
To buy back your 10,000 stXRP, you’d need:
10,800 FXRP.
You only have 10,500 FXRP, so you’re 300 FXRP short. 😩
Do it only if you can buy stXRP back later for less.
