Respectfully, and with utmost concern and worry for Gurugram, we are asking: If Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is a nationwide campaign marking 25 years of PM Narendra Modi’s public service, surely the most meaningful sankalp for Gurugram would be to make the city we have already built actually liveable. We are heading into the most difficult months for air quality. Dust haze, plastic and horticulture waste burning, spot fires, illegal conventional firecrackers, non-compliant construction sites, broken roads and pavements generating dust and emissions, indiscriminate malba dumping and its open transportation, open sewage, and inadequate civic infrastructure are not cosmetic issues - they are a civic and public-health emergency for those of us who already live here. This is where the complete focus of the CM and administration truly needs to be - with additional resources, manpower and enforcement powers to address Gurugram’s gross civic deficiencies and implement existing policies on the ground. 🙏 And above all, one FUNDAMENTAL SANKALP: #StallNewDevelopment until the Gurugram we already have is fixed. Let the administration’s full bandwidth go into fixing roads, drainage, sewage, dust, waste management, pollution and basic civic infrastructure before adding yet more load to a city already struggling. Lives matter. Our health matters. Our children -the future of India -matter. 🙏 Gurugram has been facing these civic and pollution failures for years. How can we afford to devote a month of administrative attention to competitions, yatras, rangoli, documentation and events when the city needs urgent governance and enforcement?
