#StemTrollAlert and social media mobbing is a snake that eventually eats its own tail. Do you have any other solutions in mind?

#STEMTROLLALERT is mostly used by women who value mobs over having civil discourse with someone they disagree with. That’s a problem.
@JoshFessel @Hontas_Farmer @khhsocratica @McLNeuro @cmdarwent I don’t necessarily agree with everything Hontas says, but I emplor you to at least consider where she’s coming from, instead of calling her a troll just because she has disagreements. That’s not what #STEMTrollAlert was made for, at least I didn’t think it was until recently.

1. #STEMtrollAlert is an arbiter for mob mentality instead of productive civil discourse. Most of the people tagged as trolls aren’t.
2. You only speak for you and no man speaks for me. Therefore, no one makes men look bad.

It’s calling on a mob of people that may not be intellectually fit to have a proper dissenting convo and using it to mob on someone because you disagree with them.
