I ran out of energy to tweet, but we ended with beautiful liturgy by @emjric celebrating 10 yrs of the conf. What an achievement - what a community. Congrats to @jpuddlegoose & the team. Thanks to everyone who shared in another fab event. Looking fwd to next yr already #StillEdge

Works as a church intern in a flexible role. “I believe ableism is a sin… but praise God for grace” - Jemma is working with her church to tackle ableism and makes (amazing) TikTok videos on disability & Christianity. Jesus would make his online content accessible! #StillEdge
Jemma knew she had to speak out about disability in the church. (Many parallels with the Samuel story we heard in Godly Play!) Felt a sense of belonging when she came to last year’s Telling Encounters conference, valuing time with other disabled Christians #StillEdge
Using a wheelchair has liberated Jemma and made her free. “Every day of my chronic illness is different.” Attending mental health training by Think Twice changed her life. God opened up her calling to study theology - like flicking a switch in her brain. #StillEdge
Some years ago in desperation, facing discrimination, she prayed to the God she didn’t believe in. “My life didn’t change - I still faced ableism” but she became a Christian. Now a part-time wheelchair user, Jemma “has done all this with God on my side.” #StillEdge
Back with fantastic storyteller @jemmabrown who opens by telling us about her impairments and disability identity. She tells us that she cannot separate her disability from her identity in Christ. #StillEdge

Fiona MacMillan sharing with us the history of this amazing, unprecedented conference. When disabled people were gathered for the first conf, it was “a foretaste of the Kingdom” for Fiona, who had never experienced this before. (I remember feeling the same way!) #StillEdge
