New Windsor is challenging the proposed Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project power line in court, saying the project could limit access to critical water infrastructure essential to the town’s municipal water system.
In a June 2 filing in Carroll County Circuit Court, New Windsor argued that a state law allowing surveyors to access private land does not apply to public property and asked a judge to bar Public Service Enterprise Group from entering municipal land for project-related field studies.
