Can we do anything to make sure future TVs come with motion smoothing OFF? Catching movies in hotels, museums and public areas on big screens ruined by it. So far only seen @TomCruise & @chrismcquarrie speak out. #stopmotionsmoothing #movies #film

@slashfilm @rianjohnson I never knew the actual term, but that “soap opera effect” is why I’m so apprehensive about buying a new TV. I hate it. I watch a lot of sports, but I’d rather see a slight blur on the ball then have my movies feel like I’m watching Days Of Our Lives. #StopMotionSmoothing
