OFFICIAL STATEMENT
On Afghan Taliban Attacks Against Pakistan;
Pakistan is deeply concerned at the unwarranted aggression by the Afghan Taliban, Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan along the Pak-Afghan border on the night of 11-12 October 2025. Such unprovoked actions aimed at destabilising the Pak-Afghan border belie the overall spirit of peaceful neighbourhood and cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries.
Pakistan, exercising its right of self-defence, not only effectively repulsed the assaults all along the border, but also inflicted heavy losses on Taliban forces and affiliated Khwarjis, in terms of men, material and infrastructure. These infrastructures were used to plan and facilitate terrorist attacks against Pakistan. In our targeted and precise response, all possible measures were taken to prevent any collateral damage and protect civilians.
Pakistan greatly values dialogue and diplomacy and a mutually beneficial relationship with Afghanistan. At the same time, the Government of Pakistan continues to closely monitor the situation and would take all possible measures to safeguard its territory and the lives of its people. Any further provocations would be met with an unwavering and befitting response.
Pakistan strongly rejects assertions and insinuations by the Interim Afghan Foreign Minister in India to divert attention from the presence of terrorist elements in Afghanistan. By making these baseless assertions, the Taliban regime cannot absolve itself of its responsibilities towards regional peace and stability. Continued presence of terrorist elements on Afghan soil and the freedom of activities enjoyed by them in Afghanistan are well documented in UN Monitoring Team reports.
The fight against terrorism is a common cause. Instead of shifting responsibilities, the Taliban regime should honour its commitment of not allowing its territory to be used for terrorism against other countries, as well as play its due role for achieving peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Pakistan has repeatedly shared its concerns related to the presence of Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan operating from Afghan soil. Pakistan expects concrete and verifiable actions against these terrorist elements by the Taliban regime.
Pakistan, in the spirit of good neighbourliness, Islamic brotherhood, and humanity, has generously hosted around four million Afghans for more than four decades. Pakistan will take all actions to regulate the presence of Afghan nationals on its territory, in accordance with international norms and laws.
Pakistan is desirous of a peaceful, stable, friendly, inclusive, regionally connected, and prosperous Afghanistan. Pakistan expects the Taliban regime to act responsibly, honour its commitments, and play a constructive role in achieving the shared objective of rooting out terrorism from its soil. We also hope that one day, the Afghan people would be emancipated and they would be governed by a true representative government.

And @realDonaldTrump @POTUS @SecRubio @SecDef all want to look past this & treat the Taliban like a counterterrorism partner. No word from anyone about the Taliban's ongoing human rights abuses or other atrocities - just appeasement or silence. #BanTaliban #StopSupportingTaliban
Taliban beating school students in Kabul for not wearing turban. Earlier Taliban announced that wearing a turban and growing beard is mandatory.
@RepTimBurchett @ZahirAghbar @AmrullahSaleh2 Tell @SecRubio to issue both men, and Ahmad Massoud, a visa. Unless they are given a visa, they cannot come here or speak to anyone in person. If that can't be done, try a video call.
Engagement with the Taliban MUST END, as must the cash payments. #StopSupportingTaliban

#StopSupportingTaliban: A Call for Accountability
The #StopSupportingTaliban campaign demands global accountability for governments and entities enabling the Taliban through financial, political, or indirect support. This movement highlights the urgent need to cease legitimizing a regime that undermines fundamental freedoms and oppresses women, children, and minorities. By spreading awareness and advocating policy changes, #StopSupportingTaliban aims to dismantle support networks sustaining the Taliban’s grip on power, fostering a future rooted in justice and equality.

The world must take concrete action to end the violations of women's rights in Afghanistan.
Over the past three years, the systematic and widespread violations of women’s rights by the Taliban in Afghanistan have become one of the most blatant examples of disregard for human rights. The Taliban, fully aware of the inadequate responses from the international community, have continuously trampled upon fundamental human values, facing only verbal threats and ineffectual pleas.
Now, with countries such as Germany, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands calling for the Taliban to be held accountable in international courts and threatening them with prosecution for their crimes, it is imperative to stress that while these are positive and necessary steps, threats alone are insufficient. The world must demonstrate that the era of inaction is over.
It is time for the international community to take concrete and effective steps to uphold its commitment to human rights and prove that the ongoing violations of women’s rights and the trampling of their human dignity cannot continue unchecked.
Failure to respond decisively to these blatant violations is tantamount to a negligent acceptance of them. History will judge, and harshly so, those who turned a blind eye to such oppression.
We call on all governments, international organizations, and human rights bodies to take specific actions to hold the Taliban accountable for their gross crimes against women and humanity. Today, more than ever, there is a need for justice and human rights to be enforced not just in words but in deeds. Referring the Taliban to international courts is only one of the many necessary steps to prevent the ongoing violations of women’s rights in Afghanistan.
The global community must stand firm on this clear and strong message: violations of human rights, especially women’s rights, will not go unanswered. Justice will not remain a mere promise, and the fight for justice and women’s rights is a global duty. Any neglect in this regard is a betrayal of fundamental human values and human rights. Undoubtedly, history will judge the world’s response to this critical moment with precision and ruthlessness.

@US4AfghanPeace Quit paying the Taliban millions every week and get tough on them, like you're supposed to be, and you may get some results. Taliban are bullies and you can only work with them types with force. Tickling and appeasement will NOT work! #StopSupportingTaliban

The Taliban flag in Germany. The call for a caliphate and Islamic Law in Germany. Many have called for ceased engagement with the Taliban and the expulsion of their supporters from Western countries, but Western countries have not listened. #StopSupportingTaliban

@antonioguterres Don't forget Afghanistan, where the Afghan people are under a full frontal assault of their rights, women and girls especially. #StopSupportingTaliban #BanTaliban #DoNotRecognizeTaliban

@SecBlinken You know who would like to experience the promise of a brighter tomorrow? The Afghan people -- women and girls, especially. Due to the Taliban, the people of Afghanistan are depressed. Suicides are up, as is crime and other security incidents. #StopSupportingTaliban
