🔴 Homs Governorate – Talkalakh – Ain al-Khadra 04 February 2026 An armed group operating under the authority of the current de facto power carried out a deadly attack on a gaming hall located in a predominantly Alawite neighborhood. According to verified local accounts, the perpetrators, identified as originating from Talkalakh and al-Zarah—moved repeatedly through the village on motorcycles throughout the day. The attack culminated in the deliberate use of live fire against civilians inside the venue. Preliminary information confirms multiple casualties. All identified victims belong to the Alawite community. Confirmed names of the killed and wounded: • Sadeq Ismail • Ismail Ismail • Hussein Ismail • Miqdad Ismail • Iyas Ismail • Yousha Ghassan • Ya‘rab Ghassan • Uday Saad al-Din This incident constitutes a serious violation of international human rights and humanitarian law and forms part of a broader, ongoing pattern of targeted violence against Alawite civilians. The absence of accountability, coupled with the failure of the de facto authorities to prevent or investigate such attacks, raises grave concerns regarding state-like responsibility, impunity, and the risk of crimes against humanity.
