Good Morning Patriots 🇺🇸 Happy Sunday! 🙏 ☀️ ☕️ Christ is King! ✝️ The week is already waiting—work, school, bills, noise, arguments, headlines. But today is different. Today the church gathers. Not because we have it all together, but because the tomb is empty and the risen Lord is still King! 👑 Get up! Get ready! Go to worship! Sing with people who are weary and people who are rejoicing. Hear the Word read and preached. Pray with the saints. These are not optional extras for especially spiritual people. They are the ordinary means by which God keeps his people alive in a world that is constantly trying to form us into something else! After the service, don’t rush straight back into the week. Protect the rest of the day. Sunday dinner is one of the simplest and strongest traditions a family can keep. Gather around the table—whatever is on it. Talk about the sermon. Tell stories. Ask the kids what they heard. Put the phones away for a while. These small, repeated hours are how faith and love actually take root. They are how children learn that the Christian life is not only a private feeling but a shared life. They are how adults remember that we belong to something larger than our own schedules. A short word for today: Jesus once said to his disciples, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). The rest he offers is not just a nap. It is rest from the exhausting work of trying to justify ourselves, rest from the fear that everything depends on us, rest from the endless pressure to perform. That rest is found in him—the one who already finished the work on the cross and rose again. So come today. Come tired. Come distracted. Come with whatever is weighing on you. Lay it down in the presence of the King who still says, “Come to me.” Then go home, sit down together, and practice the rest he gives. The table, the conversation, the ordinary Sunday afternoon—these become places where the gospel is not only heard but lived! Christ is King! The church is still standing! The table is still set! God Bless America! 🇺🇸 Let’s go! 🔥
