The definition below is from the FOIA-Released 2022 IC Expert Panel Assessment (not recalled by DNI Gabbard). AHI of the Havana Syndrome is a unique neurosensory syndrome with 4 core characteristics: 1. The acute onset of audio-vestibular sensory phenomena, including sound and/or pressure, sometimes in just one ear or one side of the head. 2. Other nearly simultaneous signs and symptoms such as vertigo, loss of balance, and ear pain. 3. A strong sense of locality or directionality. 4. The absence of known environmental or medical conditions that could have caused the reported signs and symptoms.
