As a Pakistani organization, we are deeply offended by the statement made by the @PakistanUN_NY.
The #TTP has long been identified as a terrorist organization with strong links to both #alQaeda & the #Talibam, with some rumors of splinter groups affiliated with #ISKP. We fully believe #BLA has similar links.
It has been Pakistan that has taken a policy of appeasement with these terrorist groups, repeatedly engaging in negotiations in 3 successive governments (Zardari, Nawaz, & Imran), with the same failed results.
It has been Pakistan that has refused to take strict military action against their camps both in Pakistan & Afghanistan, choosing to appeal to the #Taliban to take action against a militant arm of their movement.
Can you dispute that when TTP fighters were crossing into Pakistan, the Taliban was not providing suppressive cover fire to keep our paramilitary and armed forces engaged to facilitate their entry into Pakistan?
Can you dispute that GHQ doesn't know where their camps and recruitment centers are in both Afghanistan and Pakistan?
Can you explain why there hasn't been strict action taken against them on both sides of the border?
We have carried out 2 airstrikes on TTP camps in Afghanistan but stopped due to threats from the Taliban of reprisals.
Is the government of Pakistan so concerned about Taliban reprisals when the toll will be of innocent civilians, law enforcement and armed forces personnel in Pakistan?
We still remember Gen Raheel Sharif's statement after the #APS Peshawar attack - we will flatten #Kabul.
Instead of making statements in the UN, take action in Pakistan, both in KP & Baluchistan. IBOs don't strike the same fear as PAF bombing missions.
And stop negotiating with terrorists, as @AliAminKhanPTI again suggested today.
The monster we need must be bigger than the monster we are fighting.
We have that monster - let it off its leash to send a deafening message to both Kabul, Patkia, Namgarhar, Khost and Kandahar, that Pakistan will no longer tolerate terror attacks.
For every attack on our soil, we will hit 100x harder on Afghan soil, targeting Taliban, Haqqani Network, ISKP & TTP leadership, without mercy, without regard for damage or casualties.
Deafening response from a monster that can flatten every terror camp along our border & inside Afghanistan.
When they have no refuge, then they will stop and surrender.
Pakistan has said that the TTP is fast emerging as an umbrella organization for other terrorist groups in the area, with clear objectives of destabilizing Afghanistan’s neighbors.
We have evidence of its collaboration with other terrorist groups like the Majeed Brigade that is utilizing terrorism to disrupt Pakistan’s economic cooperation with China, especially CPEC. Given its long association with Al-Qaeda, the TTP could emerge as Al-Qaeda’s arm with a regional and global terrorist agenda.
Pakistan will take all necessary national measures to eliminate these threats. We will continue to cooperate with regional and international efforts to effectively root out the menace of terrorism.
