Chief Secretary Shri @sjaju1, IAS reviewed the preparedness for the upcoming Ganesh immersion Shobhayatra and the heavy rainfall situation at the #TGICCC, Banjara Hills, today.
From the Command Control Centre, the CS reviewed real-time monitoring of key Shobhayatra routes, including Balapur, road conditions and repairs, sanitation, traffic management and CCTV surveillance. TGICCC In-charge Officer Shri Kamal Hasan Reddy briefed the CS on the monitoring arrangements.
The CS directed all departments to remain fully alert, strengthen CCTV surveillance, ensure prompt removal of waterlogging and coordinate closely to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens during the Shobhayatra and the prevailing heavy rains.

As heavy rains in #Hyderabad, the Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and the Commissioner of Police, @hydcitypolice , CV Anand visited the war room at the #TGICCC building in Banjara Hills and held a teleconference and ordered that strong measures be taken to prevent any loss of life and property.

Speaking on this occasion, the CS said that due to the sudden heavy rains that have been falling since this evening, all precautions should be taken to avoid loss of life.
He informed that rainfall of up to 12 cm has been recorded in some parts of the city. The CS ordered that special attention should be paid to the areas where water is stagnant (waterlogging points) so that traffic problems do not arise due to the rain. He ordered that appropriate measures be taken as water stagnation is being faced in particular in the IT Corridor, TV-9, Times of India, Raj Bhavan, and Sheikhpet areas, where water logging is being reported.
He ordered to resolve the issues immediately by coordinating with HYDRAA.
The officials informed the Chief Secretary that all the field officers and staff are responding quickly and that they are all alert.
He clarified that the GHMC should take all necessary measures to ensure that the people do not face any inconvenience due to the rains. He appealed to the people not to go out unless it is an emergency. He appealed to the people not to remove the covers of drainage channels under any circumstances. Similarly, he said that they should not be near electric poles during rain.
The CS held a teleconference from the Police Command Control Centre on Thursday night on the measures to be taken in the wake of heavy rain. In this teleconference, Special Chief Secretary of the Disaster Department Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Karnan, Hydra Commissioner Ranganath, Jala Mandali MD Ashok Reddy, Power Department CMD Mushraf Ali, Special Commissioner of the Information Department Priyanka, Commissioners of the three Police Commissionerates, Collectors of Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal Malkajgiri districts participated in this teleconference.
He informed that 250 teams are working at the field level. He informed that NDRF/ SDRF/HYDRAA, GHMC teams are ready. He said that control rooms are working in the GHMC and Collector offices.
