I love this line in TLAC3.0 from @Doug_Lemov on Technique 7:Retrieval Practice - “The process of forgetting contains the seeds of its own solution” #TLAC3
This is brilliant on forgetting and using Exit Tickets, “you will assume your students know how to… but the way given the next week… will measure original learning minus subsequent forgetting”. Managing forgetting is as important as managing learning #TLAC3
Lead my first assembly today and narrowly avoided leading HoDs (only had to speak - well, nominate speakers - instead) and finished up with Y12 Physics 4.35-5.50. Now I am tired! But it was a big day. And tomorrow I get #TLAC3, CPD curriculum AND the metacognition handbook. 💪📚
