Let me tell you what goes in to making #TalapatraChitra. The palm leaves are dried for 2-3 months and cut into required sizes to make #Talapatra. Then soaked in water for many days and a turmeric solution is applied to the palm leaves to ensure long-lasting palm leaves.

Puri, Odisha | Pothi Chitra artisan, Maga Nayak said, "I'm preserving the traditional art, can last upto 1000 yrs. Hundreds of 'pothi chitra' that are more than 5 to 7 hundred years old are kept safely. I'm teaching this art to 30-40 people free of cost." (30.04)
