@SlyFlourish To get around this situation I usually probe a little more. Using the #taskandintent system from #burningwheel. What is your desired outcome. I have had one person say comedy, one say that they wanted to start the story, another that they were looking for leads.

@chrisperrywolf @Mimir9 @TickleMeCthulhu I like boiling down what the characters are trying to accomplish into a singular roll. A trait of the #BWHQ games. The #TaskAndIntent system. Also playing this it almost feels like a board game that even you as the #DM don't know what is going to happen.
