@tomsan106 What fascinates me is that in some countries, not sharing those cultural “norms”, some think they can just skip the foundational technique acquisition phase and move on to just playing. They don’t take those vast hours of “home studies” into consideration...🤷♂️

Linear pedagogy. Stacking skills on techniques. Gradually increasing level of difficulty and recurring game patterns in the training.
With limited time on ice available we need to work within hyper effective training methods to get good long term development.

A simple Litmus test to validate fundamental individual technical ability at U12. IMO, at this age, they should be able to do x-overs in a simple zig-zag course like this while maintaining good control of two pucks simultaneously.
