So yesterday I had a minor op with a long wait before being admitted for surgery (all good). In the waiting area with a woman who asked what I was reading - I was obvs glued to @tribunaltweets and tried to explain what the hearing was about. She looked shocked and then she told me about her daughter who is a bus driver for a huge construction project near us.
She has four trans colleagues, all men, all using female toilets and showers. The women have complained and been told they are the problem and trans people have rights. Neither she nor her daughter had any idea about Sandie, the @DarlingtonUnion or any of this. How many women are suffering like this?
I gave her my number and told her I could help her daughter if she got in touch. There are two potentially big corporates in the frame if these women decide to bring a case so I really hope she does.
