Excited to be back on the UTSA campus! I’ll be working w athletics, coaches, staff, administrators, students… & topping it all off w the annual #SetTheExpectation football game this Saturday. @UTSAAthletics is also the first in the country to adopt the #TracyRule

Men don’t become violent when they sign NFL contracts. These behaviors are cultivated earlier in the HS --> College --> Pro pipeline.
Which is why the #TracyRule at the collegiate level is so important & the negligence of the @NCAA to address violent athletes is so damaging.
Grateful for this partnership! @UTSAAthletics is also the first program in the country to adopt the #TracyRule which is the most comprehensive serious misconduct policy in the country.
#SetTheExpectation
In partnership with @brendatracy24, UTSA Athletics will hold #SetTheExpectation Awareness Week for the second straight year this week.

The NCAA had the opportunity to go all the way w their expanded policy - they didn’t.
The Tracy Rule fulfills the new NCAA requirements AND addresses eligibility.
Universities, it’s now on you to do the right thing.
Adopt the #TracyRule
NEW: @NCAA requires schools to vet athletes for sexual assault, but lets those found responsible remain eligible.
Survivors, prevention experts called it a good first step but not enough.
NCAA promised changes weeks after #PredatorPipeline investigation https://t.co/k19p4ErTXw
With the exception of revoking eligibility and the waiver process for those deemed ineligible, this looks like the #TracyRule
#SetTheExpectation
You allowed an athlete found responsible for sexual assault to remain on campus, maintain eligibility & appear in a school promo video.
The last thing you should be is “confident” in your processes.

While we remain confident in the thoughtful, rigorous and compassionate investigations that we have conducted related to Title IX cases on campus, we also hear the deep concerns of our community, and are committed to engaging in a constructive dialogue. 1/2

who are being told their school can’t implement the #TracyRule bc admin is saying “we can’t act off accusations alone”. Now... either campus staff is intentionally lying or they have not done their due diligence on the Rule. Either way, it’s not ok. There is no valid...
Dear Administrators, athletic staff & campus officials,
The #TracyRule does NOT require athletes reported for sexual assault to lose their eligibility. There has to be a finding of responsibility. I continue to hear from advocates, students & student athletes...
@Mbsydor @RogerPielkeJr doesn’t understand the full scope of #TracyRule and also includes reporting of students found not responsible. #ReportTheFacts #DangerAheadTracyRule #EqualRightsForAllStudents #NoMoreKangarooCourts
It was an honor to sit down with SAAC leaders today from the @AmericaEast athletic conference to discuss sexual violence prevention, the importance of the #TracyRule and how we can create safe & healthy cultures with the #SetTheExpectation campaign.
Happy to see @CMUniversity reverse course on this transfer BUT the only way to prevent it from happening again is policy reform. I know student groups are pushing for the #TracyRule to be adopted. During my last visit the Univ. President said he was supportive, but we’ll see.
Central Michigan reportedly denies admission to Texas Tech QB transfer Jett Duffey https://t.co/cRZRLWOcyo
I’ve spent the entirety of my advocacy career pushing for this, but I remain skeptical:
1. They’ve failed to act in the past.
2. I’m not aware of any survivor activists who has been contacted by the NCAA to assist with this policy.
