The time is ripe for the Church to revisit the liturgical reforms of the 1960’s. They were contrived, ill-thought, and the product of a committee whose members were of dubious qualification and intent. The ‘liturgy wars’, which continue to this day, will not abate—even with the co-existence of two Roman Rites. Why? Because each rite represents a totally different ecclesiology.
