"W​hy are European leaders staying silent after our summer of climate shock?" This is sinister. It is not just Andy Burnham. But across Europe, political leaders have remained bizarrely silent about the climate change driven heatwaves and wildfires. It is shocking how when there are clear serious, climate change impacts, political leaders across the Western world, refuse to even mention climate change. I am not buying any of the excuses and euphemisms. We saw this several years ago, when throughout Europe, in a clearly coordinated move, Western governments swept peaceful climate protestors from the streets, all at the same point in time, over-turning hundreds of years of traditionally allowing peaceful protest. There was clearly some sort of agreed strategy on this. Just as now, when suddenly Western political leaders find their voices frozen by a strange affliction, which selectively prevent them from saying climate. Forcing them to speak about the extreme heatwaves in terms of weather. Although unusual patterns of weather, that go on for months, are clearly a climate phenomenon, not individual random weather events. I say, these events are not unlinked and that Western governments are fearful of a public backlash for not doing anything to address the climate crisis, as the serious climate related events unfold. These governments feared protests becoming a focal point for public concern, that media gaslighting couldn't quell. I will be accused of conspiracy. But how do you explain the sudden inability of politicians to be able to talk about climate or climate change. Especially, when it would be the obvious topic of conversation, and the public are starting to become concerned. We, the people, need to be challenging our political leaders about why they suddenly refuse to discuss climate change, when it is rather obvious, that it is a point in time, when we should be discussing it. https://t.co/qa1JacNfg3
