Day #7 update on the tree hay coppice willows
Already a flush of growth. I will get multiple harvests off these every growing season. Free livestock feed FTW

Here is a patch of white willow and mulberry I have been harvesting this week. I coppice the trees and they will flush out new growth very rapidly. I will be able to get 3 or 4 "crops" this growing season. Each one will be more productive as the tree gets more growing points

Mullberry is delicious!
The whole plant is ~26% protein, can be grown on nearly every farm and can also be harvested from all over our cities then returned to the nearest livestock as #TreeHay!

@Empty_America Most people never consider it had been selected by humans for thousands of years for productivity, crude protein, and digestibility because of the silk trade. It might actually outproduce corn silage. Actually, no might to it. Mulberry could out yield corn with alfalfa quality.
