THE US ELECTIONS - WHY AFRICANS, ARE IN TRUMPVERSE: NIGERIA AS A CASE STUDY. Recently, my friend was amused when a friend and acquaintance on X, asked him who he was supporting in the coming US elections, and he responded "Trump". You could immediately see the disappointment on this individual's reaction and the expected, "Now that Biden has dropped out, you should be supporting a fellow black "sister" to be the first female President of the US, and break the ceiling for other black girls". This sentiment is now prevalent on X. As soon as you are African/Nigerian and express support for Trump, you are deemed a fool with no sense of history and accused of supporting a racist Trump who do not give a fvck about Africa. Is this really the case? Are there reasons to support Trump over Harris? In my view, the following might be an indicator: POLITICAL PERCEPTION: It is glaring that many African youths are tired of the meddling and interference of Britain, France and The US in their local politics. Thus, it is welcomed if Trump doesn't give a fig about Africa because the youth can protest and determine the course of their future without needless interference from these countries backing corrupt governments in Africa. In fact, there is the perception that had Trump been President, he would never had endorsed the current occupant in Aso Rock, and would probably have ordered the release of requested documents by Hundeyin. Therefore, a Harris Presidency will untimately continue the status quo in Africa of endorsing and supporting corrupt governments, while a Trump Presidency will focus on China, leaving African youths to determine their future. This is why many Africans voted Labour in the recent UK elections. BLACKSPLAINING: Why is that it is only when it comes to politics that we are remembered as Black Brethens? Obama was favored and voted for by Africans living in the US. Millions of dollars was raised on his behalf in Nigeria and Kenya, but did he really do anything for Africa? We all saw the destabilization of a developed Libya (that wanted to delink from the USD) under his watch, the nose-thumping and insult to Nigeria by heading to Ghana, and creating tension between brother nations and political interference in the "Bring Back Our Girls" campaign. There was also the withholding of Nigeria's Defense Fund that was to be used to purchase US military equipment to fight Boko Haram over manufactured human rights concerns. Now, we have Harris being forced on us because she is "black." Mind you, this was the same woman that CNN, NYT, MSNBC Washington Post, didn't care about and explained her away as a cackling VP without the right abilities to be President. Suddenly, Biden has been forced to drop out by Obama and Pelosi and Harris is now hailed as the second coming of Christ. At least with Trump, there is no lie or hidden agenda, He is Pro America. Lets not deceive ourselves that Harris will do anything for Blacks, especially Africa. She identifies as Indian when it suits her, and as Black when she needs votes. In fact, as a prosecutor, she jailed more black fellows than whites. Harris will continue the endorsement of corruption in Africa as long as interests in Paris, London and Washington is served. CONSERVATISM: This one of the many reasons some Africans are in Trumpverse. With the outright "forcing down our throat" of LGBTQ principles and the inherent cancellation for non-conformity to its ideals, some Africans are tired of being manipulated. Why should LGBTQ principles be included in Treaties and Agreements before a nation can access a Western Loan? There are many examples, and the most recent is in the on-going Olympics in Paris where drag queens and gays were used to reenact the last supper of Jesus and his disciples. This would have convinced more Africans about the dangers of Liberalism spearheaded by the Democratic Party of Harris. With Trump, there is belief that Conservatism will fight back against the dangers of Liberalism. Have a look at the Bill signed in California that gives children right to gender realignment surgery without parental notice. This is why Africans are in TRUMPVERSE! What do you think?
