Tillis is right. A sanctions law that passed the Senate 86-11 isn’t optional, and suspending it days before it takes effect undercuts both the statute and any leverage over Putin. If energy prices are the real concern, the focus belongs on Iran—not on easing pressure on the aggressor in Ukraine.
