All we want is to have the attack on our ship treated by the US government the same way they treated the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombing of the American Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut.
Only now the investigation of the attack on our ship will include a review of why the attack on our ship received “special treatment.”.
For example:
· Why was our Court of Inquiry ordered to have a Finding of Fact that the attack was a case of mistaken identity despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary (per the Court’s Legal Advisor Capt. Ward Boston).
· Why have our superiors ignored or deleted our two official reports that the @IDF committed War Crimes during the attack on our ship?
The attack happened on June 8, 1967.
We've been trying to persuade the US government to investigate the attack as they did following the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 attacks on the American Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut ever since.
We owe it to our 34 fallen shipmates and their families to ensure the complete truth about the attack on our ship is honestly recorded in the annals of the United States.
All we want is for the attack on our ship to be treated by the US government the same way they treated every other post-WWII attack on a @USNavy ship.
The attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole were all followed by US government investigations of those attacks.
Not so the attack on the #USSLiberty.
That said, what with both Congress and the DoD highly invested in the coverup of the attack on our ship, having them included as the organizations conducting the investigation of the attack on our ship is currently under review.
We encourage everyone to verify what we claim of no US government investigation by contacting every US government agency you can think of and ask them to provide you with a copy of a US government investigation of the attack on the #USSLiberty.
Since you are a "Truth Seekerforever" we assume you will take steps to verify our claim and the claims made by others who appear to support claims not verifiable from US government sources such as the claim made by @RepDonBacon at https://t.co/PR2lEF6rn6
@RepDonBacon lied about the US government reports prepared following the attack on our ship and doesn't show us the courtesy of proving his claim or admitting his mistake.
If this is how @RepDonBacon treats the crew of the most decorated ship in US Navy history for a single event since the end of World War II, I shudder to think how he treats the crews of @USNavy ships not as decorated.

@usslibertyvets @realDonaldTrump @IDF @ADL @PhilPhiltourney @MichaelJCloud You guys are a joke. This has been studied thoroughly and Israel apologized for mistaking the nationality of the ship and paid the families. You guys hate Israel and are on wrong side in the fight against anti-Semitism.
Even if the complete and comprehensive public investigation we are hoping the attack on our ship is subjected to (just like the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombing of the American Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut) there is still the issue of why has the US government covered up the War Crimes committed by the @IDF we have twice officially reported to our superiors only to have those official reports twice ignored--even deleted from the Report of the @USNavy Court of Inquiry.

I can understand the embarrassment of constantly being reminded that had your predecessors in Congress done their job and investigated the attack shortly after it happened—as they died following the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombing of the American Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut—the issue of the attack on our ship would long ago have been relegated to a footnote in American history—if that—and not be available as a topic of conversation here on Twitter and elsewhere.
But your predecessors in Congress didn’t investigate the attack on our ship.
No US government agency has.
Indeed, our effort to get a copy of any US government investigation of the attack on our ship from a US government agency over the past 50+ years has been unsuccessful.
The Congressional Research Service has told us that while researching our question of has the US government investigated the attack on our ship, they reviewed the documents contained at Jay Cristol’s website but could not find any US government investigation of the attack on our ship. Indeed, they could not find any evidence of a US government investigation of the attack anywhere.
That is the same response we have received from the Historians of both the US House and US Senate, the Library of Congress, the National Archives and every other US government agency we have contacted.
There is one thing you could do for us. On June 8, 2005 we filed “A Report: War Crimes Committed Against U.S. Military Personnel, June 8, 1967” at https://t.co/G33RvTl7qi with the Department of Defense.
Despite the obligation under the DoD Law of War Program to promptly and completely investigate all alleged violations of the laws of war the mandated investigation has not yet been initiated.
If you light a match under the DoD and encourage them to conduct the investigation they are mandated to conduct, I’m sure they will act.
Your concern that the attack on the #USSLiberty is being used by some people and groups whose agenda does not include determining the truth about the attack on our ship is well founded.
Those who are pursuing that agenda are using the blood of our fallen shipmates to achieve their goal.
That is a situation we find outrageous and insulting.
We take particular issue with anyone who suggests we stop in our effort to ensure the attack on our ship is recorded completely and honestly in the annals of the US government.
Stopping our effort will allow the blood of our fallen shipmates to continue to be used in this demeaning and insulting fashion.
As a retired Air Force Brigadier General who has included American military personnel under your control, it is troubling that you would suggest we stop our effort.
In short, the inaction of your predecessors in Congress has caused the situation we find ourselves in.
Your predecessors created it. You fix it.

🇺🇸 38th USS STARK Memorial - a solemn tribute to the 37 Sailors who fatefully lost their lives on May 17, 1987.
⚓️ We remember. We honor. We never forget.

@7alawaEl3antbly @Husam_Khaled1 @IDF Is that what the survivors of the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole had to do to persuade the US government to investigate the attacks on their ships?
@Reason_Will_Win We're still trying to find out what the survivors of the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole had to do to get the US government to investigate those attacks. Or the survivors of the 1983 bombings of the Marine Barracks and American Embassy in Beirut.
@historychick12 @DonaldJTrumpJr @realDonaldTrump We can't understand why the attack wasn't investigated shortly after it happened as were the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombings of the Marine Barrack and US Embassy in Beirut.
@MaxNordau @BasedChadDaily @gregjstoker Neither do we celebrate the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole. What we do is honor the fallen and investigate those attacks.
How this differs from the attack on our ship is that Congress has done neither regarding the #USSLiberty attack.

@JB50149216 @Zimmlaw175 Justice to us is to have the attack on our ship the same as the attacks on the #USSPueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut.
We just want to be treated exactly the same. What's so wrong about that?

Evidence the attack on our ship, the #USSLiberty.
34 dead, at least 174 wounded and a #USNavy ship so damaged it never sailed on a mission again.
No US government investigation.
Unlike the attacks on the #USS Pueblo, #USSStark and #USSCole as well as the 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Congress has not investigated the attack on the #USSLiberty
