Today at the historic Mapo Hall, Oja’ba, Ibadan, I joined thousands of committed party faithful, political leaders and progressive stakeholders at the PDP/APM Unity Mega Rally and Grand Alliance, which officially signalled the launch of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State. The declaration by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, to contest the 2027 Presidential Election under the platform of the APM marks another defining moment in our collective democratic journey and a bold step towards building a stronger, more inclusive and people-oriented Nigeria. It was an honour to witness the presence of eminent personalities including the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the National Leader of the PDP, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, alongside respected party stalwarts and political leaders from across Oyo State. The massive turnout and overwhelming support from the people clearly demonstrated the growing acceptance of this new political alliance and the readiness of our great state to play a leading role in the political future of Nigeria come 2027. The journey ahead demands unity, sacrifice and loyalty.
