"We are writing to update you on your earlier request concerning Stakx Artificial Intelligence Developing Services FZCO. Veriff takes all matters related to fraud, data protection, privacy, and security seriously. Therefore, we have terminated any service provision to the company, and the company cannot access or process any data in Veriff’s systems.
As Veriff suspects that Stakx has been involved in fraudulent and/or illegal behaviour, Veriff will retain all information related to Stakx, note that this information may include your personal data. This information is necessary for our internal investigations and/or any potential official law enforcement investigations. Such information may be required to be shared with regulatory agencies and/or law enforcement to help with the investigation regarding Stakx.
Veriff OÜ has assumed an independent data controller role regarding your data to establish, exercise, and defend legal claims concerning Stakx. Veriff as a data controller will retain the data as follows:
Scope: the data provided by you during the identity verification process (see Privacy Notice section 4.1 for more details).
Purpose: establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims concerning Stakx, any allegations, or potential official investigations surrounding Stakx and its representatives.
Legal Basis: Veriff’s legitimate interest in establishing, exercising, and defending legal claims and cooperating with official authorities, as necessary.
Retention Period: up to one year, unless required otherwise.
The data is retained securely by our storage service provider (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL) and disclosed only on a need basis, for example, to law enforcement authorities upon request.
