From Tuesday to Friday this week, we were excited to participate in a workshop themed "YOUTH & MEDIA IN ACTION" - Shifting Norms, Valuing Care, Ending GB , organized by @unwomenrwanda in collaboration with @RwandaGender, @RMC_Rwanda, and @RwandaYouth. The youth leaders, together with media professionals had opportunity to co-create together different strategies to promote #CareWork, #ZeroTolerance on #GBV, and promote #GenderEquality in #Rwanda.
We are committed to taking what we learned forward by raising public awareness using existing community and youth structures to eradicate GBV.

I know I am bias but genuinely @labour seem to be the only political party that actually gets what it's like for workers in the voluntary & community sector.
At the demonstration in May last year @labour representatives far outweighed any other party in attendance. #valuingcare
Section 39, 56 & 10 organisations have had no pay rise since 2008. These workers pick up the slack where our health service fails.
Theyโre not asking for the sun, moon and stars. Theyโre asking for fair pay for a fair dayโs work.

Yesterday's Budget had nothing for workers who provide the most valuable services to us all - community care workers.
@duncansmithtd and the Labour Party are demanding pay parity for these workers before they begin strike action next week. โ
