Gov. Maura Healey, who is running for reelection in November, went on Instagram Sunday to declare "ICE right now is the problem" and to say federal immigration enforcement is "making us less safe" in Massachusetts.
Her fix: the Protect Act she signed, which orders ICE to stay out of Massachusetts schools, daycares, hospitals, healthcare clinics, and courthouses.
Attacking federal immigration enforcement has been a central theme of Healey's reelection campaign since she launched it in January.
She did not name a single ICE enforcement action she opposes.
