We just witnessed history: The S&P 500 has officially added $10 TRILLION in market cap since its October 27th low. Since October 27th, the S&P 500 is up a whopping 1,150 points, or 28%. That means the index has added $10 trillion in 97 trading days, or $103 billion PER DAY since October 27th. In other words, the S&P 500 has added roughly 4 times the market cap of Apple, AAPL, in just 5 months. AI hype and Fed pivot hopes are literally adding trillions in market cap for stocks. When #RRPs approach zero the #Fed will have to pivot in that it will be forced to slow down and ultimately stop balance sheet roll-off, (i.e. #WALCL will stop decreasing and start increasing again). Since the banking crisis early last year, the Fed has been able to continue rolling assets off the balance sheet while maintaining liquidity because #RRPs declined at roughly the same pace as balance sheet roll-off. Once #RRPs reach zero, #RPs will begin to rise, putting an end to the ostensible balance sheet shrinkage.

I use the formula (#WALCL-#RRPONTTLD-#WTREGEN). In short, it's the total assets on the Fed's balance sheet, minus the total securities sold by the Fed via its Overnight Reverse Repo (RRP) facility, and minus the TGA balances with the Fed. Therefore, the chart of #WALCL shows the total amount of "money" created by the U.S. Federal Reserve, and the chart of 1/WALCL shows the decay in value that each U.S. dollar theoretically undergoes. This analogous to, but more expansive than, using the #M2 money supply (#M2SL).
