I use the formula (#WALCL-#RRPONTTLD-#WTREGEN). In short, it's the total assets on the Fed's balance sheet, minus the total securities sold by the Fed via its Overnight Reverse Repo (RRP) facility, and minus the TGA balances with the Fed. The S&P 500 is virtually completely dependent on the Federal Reserve's balance sheet since there's minimal real growth in productivity occurring, therefore: $SPY return = Adjusted $USCBBS percentage change Adjusted $USCBBS = $USCBBS - #RRPONTTLD -#WTREGEN
