True Christianity is unshakable, and that’s what bothers people who love this world and are of this world. They can’t hurt you. Society doesn’t like me? People of the world don’t like me? The same world that tortured and murdered a perfect, sinless man—God incarnate? Oh well. As the saying goes: “Your boos mean nothing to me. I’ve seen what makes you cheer.” Or, as Jesus said: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18).
